We are the
American Boy Scout Troop in
Paris, France. We have around
60 members, and have been around since
1957. We go on one campout or hike a
month, and a week-long
summer camp every July.
In the summer of 2011, Troop 112 teamed up with Texas Crew 905 to go on a 50-mile hike around the World War 1 battlefields near Verdun. We crossed rivers, slashed through forests and cooked in style.
Climbing! We hiked in the snow to a climbing center and went climbing for a few hours. We came back with new skills and a merit badge!
Our sailing trip! We went to Brittany for a 2-night weekend and went sailing in catamarans and optimists. We also went out on a 100 year old skippered skiff (or "Sinagot")!
